Who are we?

Relevant Background and History

Jerry Cimino
Founder, Owner
The Beat Museum and Kerouac.com

Jerry worked for IBM for 15 years in Customer Education and Sales and later for 10 years in Sales and Management for American Express. He founded Kerouac.com in 1995, the Beat Museum in Monterey, California in 2003 and The Beat Museum on Wheels in 2004.

John Allen Cassady
Son of Neal and Carolyn Cassady
(Neal was Dean Moriarty, the main character of On The Road)

John’s family connections with the principles of the Beat Generation and the Hippies (Jack Kerouac, Allen Ginsberg, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Ken Kesey, Jerry Garcia) brings a unique insight in to the true stories of these literary and cultural icons of the 1950’s and 1960’s. He worked in the hi-tech industry in Silicon Valley for twenty years and is currently writing his memoirs.
